The most economical way to get there is to take bus 574 from Sound Transit from the airport (512 south of Tacoma) to Lakewood (P & R SR) or change to IT Transit and drive south to Portland or Sacramento. Although there are more frequent buses to and from Seattle, it is quicker to travel by bus or ferry from Tacoma to Seattle or Bremerton than by bus from Shelton or Belfair. Capital Aeroporter offers a shuttle service to Seatac Airport and Ave E buses to Tacoma International Airport and Puget Sound Port, as well as Seattle-Tacoma Airport. Although there is a busy bus to Seattle and a ferry service from Tumwater to Tacoma and Seattle (the Sea-Tac ferry), it is quicker to travel by bus and ferry between Tacoma, Seattle & Bremanton than from the Shelon and Bel fairways or by bus.
